Kathy Stilwell, Deputy Director
Kathy Stilwell joined The Affordable Housing Group in August 2000. Ms.
Stilwell has primary responsibility for the Development Center, which
promotes the development and implementation of strategies to plan,
finance and develop single family and multifamily affordable housing
and provide community based technical assistance. She creates financial
analysis reports and project budgets, prepares funding applications for
public and private funding sources such as state housing finance
agencies and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, and provides
project management support and administration. Ms. Stilwell manages the
relationships that are vital to the success of our development efforts.
She works closely with the various organizations that work with us on
the development of affordable housing, including local non-profits,
government representatives, financial institutions, professional
service providers, contractors and clients. Extensive experience in
administration and management is supported by over 18 years of public
and private project management and systems analysis. Previous positions
include seven years with the Charlotte Housing Authority as a Senior
Planning Analyst in the Planning & Development Department
focused on HOPE VI projects, and Office Management Associate for a
general contractor. Additional experience includes grant writing,
purchasing/inventory control, and compiling policy/procedures and
training manuals and is a Notary Public and graduate of North Carolina
State University.
